Flying Back to You

plumes of blood scattered
over sunken glass. My chest,
a red balloon, floats

my body into heavy
clouds through this final
inhale. I witness

white scenes below
slowly becoming
paler till sight

turns to terrific terror
crystalizing the stars—
they welcome me with beaming arms.
