Panic Buying

I have been buying panic,
just in case the shops run out,
because of all of the people panic buying.

I have filled the shed with worry,
insulated the loft with concern,
defrosted the freezer with consternation.
I have read the newspaper with fear,
used Facebook with alarm,
spoken to the neighbours with trepidation.

I have walked the dog with dismay,
fed the Cat with horror,
drunk in the pubs of Hysteria,
seen the plays of Terror.
I am not concerned about the supplies of Panic,
there will always be too much of it for everyone.
