Rich Glinnen

Here for When You Can Taste It

Since you’re sick,
I catch the kiss
you blow at me
from across the room,
not with my hand,
but my armpit,
and flatten it
into a cookie:

homemade,
from scratch,
which is why it’s not round,
but chocked
with bulges and dents,
shaped less like a cookie
and more like the heart
that was put into it.
